Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Data Career School ("Data Career School", "we", "us" or "our") collects when you use datacareerschool.com, including our practice platform (together, the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address, profile picture (if you have one) and an account identifier from that provider. We never see or store your Google or LinkedIn password. We also record when your account was created and when you last signed in.
Practice activity.SQL queries you write on the practice platform run inside your own browser and are not sent to our servers. The questions you solve are saved to your account so your progress follows you across devices. An unfinished query saved while you sign in is kept in your browser's local storage on your device.
Discussion posts. When you post in a question's discussion, your post, your name and your profile picture are visible to other logged-in learners. You can edit or delete your own posts at any time.
Applications and messages. If you apply to our program through our application form or email us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details and background.
Usage information. We use analytics tools to understand how the Services are used. These may collect the pages you visit, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
Embedded content. Some pages include content from other services, such as YouTube and Google Drive videos and Spotify episodes, and the practice platform loads its SQL engine from the jsDelivr network. These providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To provide, maintain and improve the Services and their content.
- To review applications and respond to your questions.
- To send you messages about your account and, where you have agreed or the law allows, updates about our programs. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
- To understand usage, fix problems and prevent abuse or misuse of the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential: sign-in cookies that keep you logged in. The Services cannot work properly without them.
- Local storage: keeps an unfinished query on your device while you sign in.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site.
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out, but your progress stays saved to your account.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Services, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Supabase, for sign-in and account storage.
- Vercel, for website hosting and analytics.
- Google, for sign-in, analytics and our application form.
- LinkedIn, for sign-in.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or property of Data Career School, our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
When you choose to share a solution on LinkedIn, you post it yourself on LinkedIn, and that post is governed by LinkedIn's terms and privacy policy. We never post on your behalf.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, unless we need to keep some of it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse. Application information is kept for as long as needed to evaluate and manage your application.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and trusted infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may store and process information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States and India. Where we transfer information across borders, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your account and personal information.
- Withdraw consent or object to certain uses of your information.
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.

9. Children
The Services are intended for people aged 18 and older. People under 18 may use them only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without that consent. If you believe a child has given us information without it, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
